Last Friday's email generated quite the buzz.
And I'll be honest, the replies threw me for a loop.
In case you're new around here and haven't got the foggiest clue what I'm waffling on about, I sent an email last Friday asking readers of The Divided Region whether they'd prefer to:
– Wait a little longer and receive Book 6 and Book 7 together as a final, complete send-off for the series, or…
– Have them published separately, as and when they're ready.
Nearly half of you voted to have it all in one sitting – which, in a world where everyone wants everything yesterday, and patience is about as commonplace as a pig at a vegan festival – left me quite surprised.
I genuinely didn't see that coming.
So what am I doing about it?
To your shock and horror, I haven't actually had the chance to sit down and properly chart a course yet.
The weekend belonged to Master Liam, who turned two, and to my mother, whose birthday falls on the exact same day.
(God, in His infinite wisdom, decided that was a reasonable scheduling decision.)
Funnier still: Master Nathan was a mere two days shy of sharing a birthday with Lady Laura's mum. That would've been quite the story, had he played ball.
All of which is to say, I was a wee bit preoccupied.
Both paths have genuine pros and cons, so I'll be chewing on both in the coming days to avoid any knee-jerk decisions.
You can expect an announcement sometime later this week.
Could be tomorrow.
Could be Wednesday.
Could be Friday.
What I can tell you, however, is this:
Book 6 is shaping up to be an absolute "fire" as kids say these days.
Twists… turns… bumps… cuts… bloodshed…
IT'S GOT 'EM ALL.
Darius is in for one hell of a journey — and so are you, my dear reader.
