From an early age, Daniel was obsessed with fantasy worlds. The problem? When he turned to books, he couldn’t finish most of them. Many were so bloated, slow, and choked with more POVs than Orange Is the New Black.
(And don’t get him started on complicated magic systems and difficult-to-pronounce names!)
Thus, The Divided Region was born.
Daniel set out to write the kind of fantasy he’d craved most: short, bingeable, fast-paced stories without the 1,000-page commitment.
When he isn’t writing, Watson enjoys chewing his partner’s ear off about his publishing business and playing dead to his two rambunctious sons.
