A question I get every so often is:
“Does The Divided Region conclude in Book 7?”
It always struck me as a half-hearted question. On the one hand, they genuinely want to know, and on the other, you can practically hear them muttering, “PLEASE NO.”
For a while, the answer used to be a resounding yes; it was concluding with the seventh title.
However, as I’m nearing the end of The Divided Region, ideas are frustratingly springing eternal for a continuation of this epic adventure.
(Damn you, Milo-the-Muse!)
So, if you were asking that question as of the 20th of August 2026, my answer would be this:
Yes, Book 7 closes out The Divided Region as we know it. But…
It does not represent the end of the journey nor of some of its characters.
With emphasis on the word “some,” because if you know me and have been around the series for a while, characters die: good ones, bad ones, and those in between.
This royal decree is not to be confused with the possible spin-off series I’ve got in the pipeline, either.
I’m talking exclusively about an arc following TDR.
Anyway, let’s not ride out too far, eh?
I’ve still got Book 7 to publish, which — for all the keen eyes reading this — is shaping up quite well and will definitely be released well before the year’s out.
That means there’s still plenty of time to read or listen to Books 1–6 if you haven’t already.
