One of the trickiest parts of compiling this new lore book for The Divided Region has been figuring out how to tell as much as I can without spoiling or drawing too heavily from the main plotline.
It has most certainly been a delicate balance to strike indeed, let me tell you.
Originally, I did toy with positioning the book as something only to read after finishing the series, but that felt like a complete killjoy, so that’s why I’ve fought hard to avoid pulling too much from the storyline.
While I can’t say it’s completely spoiler-free, I’ve limited them as much as humanly possible for both newbies and seasoned veterans of Estos alike.
That said, for those new to the world, I strongly recommend finishing Exiled before flipping over the digital pages of Lore and Order.
It will make more sense that way.
Oh, and one other thing…
I’ve made a slight adjustment to the name. 😬
Originally, it was going to be called Lore and Order: Chronicles of The Divided Region.
Then I had a startling realisation:
While a good chunk of this compendium guide talks about TDR and its governing kingdoms, this is essentially about the world of Estos. As I have ideas for future spin-off series cooking in the oven of my mind, to limit this lore book just to The Divided Region wouldn’t be fair to those future stories.
That is why the NEW name of this book is:
Lore and Order: Chronicles of Estos
There’s every chance the book will be updated between novels and future series, though fret not, customers will get these updates free of charge.
Only once I deem my time in the realm is up, and there is no need to further expand this database of ours, will I make it available for paperback and hardback as a special keepsake.
Anyway, I hope this has provided more answers than questions.
