A couple of weeks ago, I migrated my website to a new home after months of procrastination.
It has allowed me to post blog posts and spread my proverbial tentacles across the vast digital plains we "oldies" call…
The World Wide Web.
All went well, and up until yesterday, I thought I had seen the last of my technical hiccups. Apparently not. Since completing the move, I noticed a considerable drop in replies.
I'm not too proud to say the first couple of days were bliss, but after days three and four?
My ego sobbed, and dark thoughts began to swirl around in my mind.
"Have my emails sent Legionnaires into an induced coma?"
"Are my lords and ladies finally fed up with my unruly ways?"
“Have I lost my touch?”
It was only the day before yesterday that a Patron, friend, and longtime Legionnaire (not sure they want me revealing their name) reached out to say their emails to me were bouncing, and the penny suddenly dropped.
(As did my stone of a heart.)
Unbeknownst to me, during the migration, I had forgotten to update my email DNS records, and this subsequently has sent many of your replies into a deep, dank, stinky void.
So, if you've replied to any of my emails or sent me one totally off the cuff:
I wasn't ignoring you, and I wasn't playing dead.
I merely fell foul of a technical goblin that has since tasted my ire and the edge of my sword. My sincerest apologies. After a day of back-and-forths with my hosting provider (which explains no email yesterday), order has been restored.
With that, I now open my arms and brace myself for the inevitable gush of replies coming to sweep me off my feet…
