Last week, I was chinwagging with family about this weight loss “miracle”, Ozempic.
(I’ll concede, I only learned about this on a recent Joe Rogan podcast.)
Just a few short years ago (pre-pandemic times), I used to lament people who’d take shortcuts in life — be it with health, work, whatever.
Nowadays, my militant ways aren’t so set in stone. I’m more interested in seeing people win than holding up the mirror to their shortcomings, and if a quick win gets you on the path to a happier, healthier, and more sustainable life, then you’ve got your Overlord and Saviour’s blessing.
Which, as you know, is no small approval.
But I’d be remiss not to remind Legionnaires of the following:
Just make sure you adopt the necessary habits to keep you winning.
Look at quick wins like Ozempic as “getting you on the track.” To keep you on it and hurtling forward towards a happy, fulfilling life, it’s imperative you adopt the traits and habits that will keep you there.
A bit like how AI is helping authors get on the road to writing and publishing their books.
I think it’s a great technology that’s going to revolutionise the entertainment industry as we know it.
But it can also become a crutch.
And if, for whatever reason, the tech went away — be it regulation, the grid going dark, etc. — then the wheels would come off their publishing business almost overnight.
That is unless writers continue to learn the craft and good habits of storytelling.
