It feels like an aeon since I last sent an email, even though it was only Friday.
Seasoned disciples will know this is deeply uncharacteristic of me.
Some might even consider it gross misconduct, considering there is only ONE Overlord & Saviour of the Legion.
So what gives?
Why the absence?
I mean, it was only last week I decreed that I'd be hosting Silent Sermons on Sundays in lieu of my usual daily rambling, but nowhere was Saturday mentioned. So, once again…
What gives?
I suspect a number of long-time Legionnaires might have a pretty good idea, but for those not as battle-hardened as my other brethren, Lady Laura produced yet another healthy Heir last Friday at 8 PM on the dot.
The second one in 16 months, I might add.
And like Master Liam, this one was delivered naturally and without any pain relief, making a mockery of all the times I stubbed my toe.
What a woman, I say.
What a lady to have sat beside me on the throne.
Sixteen years together, and she still surprises me.
With that, Legionnaire… I ask that you rise up!
Stand and raise your weapon or spirit of choice as we not only commend Lady Laura on travelling to the deepest depths of pain this earth has to offer, without anything more than my wrist to crush, but also to welcome our latest member to the Legion…

It has been a crazy few days balancing family visitations and a 16-month-old toddler who is hellbent on prodding every inch of the baby.
Nights have become increasingly more… fun, too.
All of this to say:
I hope that explains my abrupt absence this weekend. If it didn't, well, then now's the time to get your plump arse back to school.
It's never too late.
And neither is it too late to pick up The Divided Region.
While I’ll be taking a break from writing (except for these emails) to enjoy this precious yet fleeting newborn phase, that doesn't mean you should lounge around the Legion like a sloth after a little devil's lettuce.
Get busy.
