You will know I've been having an absolute mare with them.
They were supposed to deliver my author copy of Among Wolves last week, and they STILL haven't delivered. I've resigned myself to the fact that the book is either not coming or is lost entirely in transit.
Side note: This has nothing to do with my printing partner, Lulu. Royal Mail has been shocking for us since they were taken over.
So instead of waiting for my theory to become true…
I did something sensible for once.
Over the weekend, I went ahead and re-placed the order with the priciest (and speediest) courier available to me here in the UK.
The result?
Well, instead of telling you — how about I show you what was launched through my letterbox this morning:
It's one thing seeing your cover online, and another thing entirely holding it in your hand.
So long as there are people with hands, physical books aren't going anywhere.
That much I am certain of.
Anyway, unsolicited philosophies aside, I can safely say that after closely inspecting the book for the better part of an hour (to the extent a restraining order would be wholly justified), Among Wolves is fit for publication.
Which means…
We must have a release date, surely?
The answer to that is an emphatic…
YES!
But you will have to sit on your hands until tomorrow.
