Well, that’s what a new audiobook listener of the series seems to think.
Here’s what they wrote:
D.J.J. Watson, I have to ask if Jangar's character was inspired by Vegeta? He’s your best character. A bad guy turned anti-hero going through a redemption arc!
Look, I honestly can’t tell you whether my crassly spoken, murderous brute of a character is Vegeta for the very simple reason that I’ve never watched Dragon Ball anime.
But that’s besides the point.
What our brethren quite correctly pointed out is Jangar’s arc.
Funny thing is, I originally pinned him as a villain for the series long before I wrote the first passages of Exiled, but the deeper I got into the storyline, the more Jangar’s arc unravelled into what is most definitely becoming an anti-hero.
Now?
He's got more fans than me!
Who’d have thought such a bloodthirsty, and occasionally unhinged, character could capture so many hearts?
