I now know why 50-year-olds are so happy

Warning: If crass topics aren’t your marmalade, skip over this email.

For adults with even just a follicle of humour about them, away we go…

While carrying out my weekly lurk in FB writer groups, I came across the following image that, quite frankly, had me clutching my abs (by abs, I mean jello). Not so much because it was true (my experience tells a very different story), but rather due to the comments it got from folks of all ages and walks of life.

Here’s the image in question:

I guess that explains why so many 50-year-olds are full of beans and dare I say…

HAPPY? 😂

Obviously, I’m talking out of my royal behind, and anyone else who says otherwise likely is, too.

Most of the comments refuted the creator of this meme as either being an ill-informed virgin begging for social engagement (possible) or simply being out of touch with the rest of us (also possible).

I mean, I can attest to the latter.

While I have successfully sired one offspring with another almost here, I don’t know where this creator thinks 30-year-olds are romping off four times per week, especially if they have kids, a demanding job, pets, and other worldly obligations.

Anyway, the meme tickled me. Perhaps it did you, too.

If you don’t mind the occasional crude joke, then something tells me you’ll get along with Jangar from The Divided Region oh-so-swimmingly.

In fact, he’s Lady Laura’s favourite character.

Though originally cast as a villain, his personality quickly spilt onto the page and became almost impossible to hem into a mean suit permanently. That doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of carrying out some nasty misdeeds, as he commits A LOT of those.

But then, this series wouldn’t be a “gritty” epic if it came without cruel injustices.

It would just be…

EPIC.

If you’re yet to meet Jangar, the burly, axe-wielding Elronian, then why not get yourself acquainted with him unless… of course… you’ve got other matters to tend to 😉.

For those like me who have enough going on in their lives than to be romping every day of the week, you can find Jangar and the cast of TDR here:
