Last year, I happened across a rather shocking discovery.
An author I had followed on Twitter — long before it became X — announced that he was leaving the platform and his 120,000 followers behind because he detested Elon Musk and "the Nazi pumpkin" he is associated with (his words, not mine).
I wrote an email at the time saying how I thought this was a foolish idea, but that's not where I'm going with it today.
While he'd probably disdain me for my worldview, that doesn't stop me from praising the bloke.
Why?
