In response to yesterday's "reveal," where I cooled some blood pressure that Book 7 wouldn't be the end of the journey (despite it being the end of The Divided Region)…
I got a few questions from people whom I can only describe as ADDICTS.
(And the Lord knows how much I love 'em.)
They more or less asked the same question:
Will I be writing the continuation series next?
Without messing around or pulling any punches, I'm just going to pull up my skirt instead:
Most likely not.
It's not a hard no, as I have long abandoned predicting what might happen in the future, but it is several acres of tall grass away from a yes.
I'm at a stage where The Divided Region has taken up the better part of five to six years, and while I'm certainly not sick of the world nor its characters or plight, I just need a refresher.
A palate cleanser, if you will.
I've been bumping my gums about a possible spin-off assassin series for months now, which would dive deeper into pockets of the world like Westrun, Tuga, Skull Island, and the likes that aren't possible in a grander epic fantasy setting.
At least for my style of writing, anyway.
Readers always want to be moving forward.
Always want to confront the high stakes and travel on the open roads.
Spin-off series allow us to hop off the highway for a short, little adventure before jumping back on the wagon and chugging forward.
So yes, I will most likely be writing a continuation epic of The Divided Region in the not-too-distant future, because — like I said yesterday — ideas are springing eternal right now.
It's like trying to catch water cascading from a dam. Really, really difficult.
However, it's unlikely that will be my first project after the curtain closes on the series.
I hope that settles some of your questions, if you had them.
And in case you're already itching to dive deeper into the world of Estos, its history, its lore, fauna, flora, and everything in between, I do have an ebook called Lore & Order: Chronicles of Estos.
It even comes with a pronunciation guide.
Once Book 7 of TDR is complete, I will be compiling it into an audiobook and paperback for you scoundrels who don't like digital pixels.
Until then, e-book only for now. You can get it here:

Have a great weekend. Stay classy out there.
