I’ve never been one to ask for reviews.
In fact, I’ve never really been one to ask for anything beyond my bacon being extra crispy and the occasional back rub from Lady Laura, which, let me tell you, is rarer than a pork chop at a vegan party.
So naturally, when it comes to gathering up book reviews — an extremely important part for us scribes — it’s safe to say I’ve been a bit…
NEGLECTFUL.
Case in point:
I don’t even have a page in the back of my books devoted to collecting reviews.
Not one.
In hindsight, probably not the most sensible thing I’ve ever done, but I’ve always erred on the side of letting things happen “organically” as it almost always produces superior results.
But today?
Today, we’re going to change that up.
I’m about to spray fertiliser and pesticide all over this email by offering the lords and ladies of this fine clan what one could consider a bribe.
A damn fine one at that, I might add.
One so good that even President Putin would have a hard time resisting should he share our appetite for epic fantasy short novels… 😬
As you know, I’ve been on something of a “journey” bringing The Divided Region into the physical world of paperbacks. Providing the samples come out good and without hiccups, they will be ready to buy through my Storehouse (hopefully) in the next week or two.
Which brings me to the rub of this email bribe:
If you’ve purchased any book of The Divided Region (be it in ebook or audiobook, retailer or my Storehouse) and you enjoyed it, I will gift a coupon code to those who leave an honest review.
This code can be applied to one paperback or all five books of the series and will shave off a tidy 25%.
But you MUST show me proof you have left a review wherever you purchased them from. I don’t want any of this, “Hey, I left a review” malarkey. No, I want to see proof, my dear disciple.
The name you used, the retailer you posted it at, or – ideally – a simple screenshot.
Provide it, and I shall gift you this generous coupon.
And as seasoned Legionnaires will know, I rarely dish out discounts, so if you’ve been in the market for my paperbacks (as many have), then you’ll never get a discount like this again.
Sound fair?
Good, good. Here are the action steps:
1. If you purchased my ebook on Amazon or any other retailer, you can leave a review (not a rating) for Exiled here:
https://books2read.com/dividedregionexiled
Or…
1. If you purchased the ebook/audiobook directly at my store, go here:
