Book #5 of The Divided Region will be sent to my proofreader on Wednesday.
From the highs of outlining this sequel to the lows of catching FrankenFlu during the edits, the finish line is now in sight. It’s been a long and somewhat bumpy journey writing this instalment, but at last, the end is nigh.
Which brings me to…

Book #5 has a title.
While I am tempted to drop the name in this email, I get a weird kick out of creating suspense.
(I am not called Overlord for nothing, my faithful.)
It’s also good marketing practice according to the “hustle bros” on Twitter and YouTube. 🤷♂️
In any case, I’ll be peeling the curtain back sometime this week, so keep your shifty little eyes on your inbox. But there’s one other reason I didn’t want to give it away today. I didn’t want it to overshadow my third and most important announcement…

Lady Laura and I are expecting another baby boy.
Given how large the Legion is growing, the situation necessitated a spare — I mean, another heir — to ensure the Watson dynasty carries on for at least another couple of generations.
Yes, Laura and I are acutely aware we’ve sewn another year of sleepless nights into our lives, but what’s a year of zombification compared to a lifetime of free email fodder two boisterous sons will give me?
Priceless.
Though, I’m certain Laura and I are in for it now. 😂
So sound the war horns, Legionnaire. Raise a tankard of your favourite ale or sing your favourite hymn, because things are about to get very interesting in the months and years ahead.

Once I’ve shipped this puppy off to my proofreader, it will be all systems go-go-go on outlining the sixth instalment, upgrading the audiobooks, and preparing the Legion for the banquet of fun, shock, and escapism that awaits you in the coming sequel.
Me cannot wait.
