I'm not going to rattle off all the reasons why you should buy this book, but if you're new around here and need a few quick-fire ones that might tip you over the fence, here's what you need to know:
• Things really heat up now — this is where the sword truly leaves the scabbard.
• This is the penultimate book in the series, and it sets up the final stage of the war. That doesn't mean no skirmishes take place in this instalment. Oh, that they do!
• As per my trademark, big characters bleed. Some elevate to new, powerful positions. Some die. (You'll see in Chapters 2 and 3.)
• In case it isn't abundantly obvious right now, this one follows all the architecture of my previous five books. So if you're worried it's going to take a dozen chapters to get going, think again, sunshine. It grabs you by the collar from the very first chapter and doesn't let go.
It's been a long time coming.
I promise you won't have to wait nearly as long for the concluding title of this series, but that's a conversation for another day.
