Yesterday, I revealed how much of a The Lord of the Rings fan I am and how J.R.R. Tolkien influenced many things in my own series, The Divided Region, without me really knowing it.
I also (very subtly) unveiled the new and improved covers of Books 1-5. 🤩
Yes, I kept it quiet for more time than I should have, and no, I hold no regrets.
All existing Patrons get these updates completely free, so be sure to refer to the instructions in the P.S. further below to see how.
Anyway, I also — quite cheekily — hinted that if these reimagined covers don’t tip you over the proverbial fence to buy TDR (assuming you haven’t already), then perhaps today’s email will.
And I have precisely two reasons:
1. For the first time ever, all The Divided Region e-books come digitally signed by Yours Overlordy and timestamped with their publication date, making them a true collector’s item. NOTE: You cannot get these digitally signed e-books on ANY other retailer — only through my Storehouse.
And in case you’re wondering, yes, The Apprentice e-book (the prequel you got for signing up to the Legion, remember?!) is also digitally signed. OCD is a very real itch, and I wasn’t about to leave my truest Patrons without a post to scratch it.
2. The price of E-Books 1-4 (Exiled, Forbidden Forest, Last Alliance, and One True King) will be increasing to meet that of The Great Betrayal, which is currently priced at $6.99. This will come into effect in 48 hours across both my Storehouse and book retailers like Amazon.
I am currently rolling out digital signatures for Sticks & Stones, Abbey Ruins, and Tiny Epics: Vol 1 e-books.

P.S. Instructions for Patrons:
A) If you bought through my Storehouse and downloaded the e-book(s) onto your own e-reader (Kindle, Nook, Kobo, iPad, etc.):
- Search your inbox for the original download message (try “BookFunnel” or the book title).
- Delete the old file from your device (Remove from device / Delete download / Archive).
- Re-download from your original BookFunnel link (or My BookFunnel Library).
- Transfer it back to your device (USB, Send-to-Kindle, or your usual app).
​(Tip: If the cover still looks wrong, open the book once to refresh the thumbnail.)
B) If you used the BookFunnel app (to read or listen):
- Open the BookFunnel app (iOS / Android / Kindle Fire).
- If the update doesn’t show: remove the book (Remove from device), then tap to re-download.
- If you send the book to another app (Kindle, Apple Books, etc.), re-export after re-downloading.
C) If you bought through a retailer (Amazon, Apple Books, Kobo, etc.):
- Usually, no action needed — future downloads get the new file automatically.
- For existing Kindle purchases: turn on Automatic Book Updates (Amazon → Manage Your Content & Devices → Preferences) or check your “Purchased/Updates” area.
