A quick n’ dirty book update

I promised I wouldn't keep you in the lurch, so let's do a quick 'n dirty TDR Book 6 update:

• We've officially crossed over into Act 3. Only single-digit chapters remain.

• The outlining is paying off immensely. The clarity and focus it gave me were simply AWOL when I attempted it without one.

• I've written more in the past two weeks than I have in the last four months. I would laugh if I weren't already crying. 😭

• The story and the characters are fully alive. I've got a solid grip on everything, and the first draft is edging ever closer to the finish line.

• No, I won't shell out an approximate release date — seasoned Legionnaires will know that every time I've done that, the publishing gods conspire against me.

• Book 7 is already being outlined. I wasn't whistling Dixie when I said I'm steamrolling forward.

• Staying on Book 7, I will be more or less getting straight into it after Book 6 has been sent off to my editor. No sitting on my hands waiting for revisions before I get cracking.

And as this is a Book 6 update, let me blurt out that it's shaping up to be an action-packed sequel.

Seriously, have your inhaler handy.

If all of this talk is getting your palms slick with excitement…

SPLENDID!

Anticipation is what this sequel demands. Hell, it's what it deserves.

But I'm not going to totally torture you until its release — well, at least not 20 of you.

"Err, what do you mean by that, Watson?"

(It's Overlord & Saviour, but I'll let it slide just this once.)

All will be revealed tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled.

What I'll be announcing will only be available to 20 fans, and you'll have just 24 hours to act, so stay tuned.

P.S. I've decided to release Books 6 and 7 separately — I don't want the buzz and excitement for Book 6 to wane once it's complete. It would be like letting a piping-hot appetiser cool at the counter while I prepare the main course.

BUT…

Like a good restaurant, I can assure you: the wait for Book 7 will be razor-thin once this sequel is published. Razor-thin, I tell you!
