Tomorrow I'll be contacting "Cold Subscribers" that my email service provider has flagged up on my system.
These are Legionnaires who have supposedly not opened or clicked any of my emails in the last several weeks.
In other words…
TRAITORS.
(I jest… sort of.)
Usually, I don't trust these metrics as far as I trust those who seek the warmth of a pleasure house for a myriad of technical reasons I shall not bludgeon you with.
However, they do have their use cases.
For those new to these parts:
Every few months, I conduct these two-day purges to cut down the Legion's deadwood that hurts email deliverability and needlessly costs me coin.
During these festivities — I mean, culls — I offer such "Cold Subscribers" a stay of execution if they simply:
- Click any link in my emails
- Or reply
It lets me know they are alive and well, and that the metrics have been falsifying their status (it happens).
So if you receive these "special" emails, fret not.
Just follow the instructions, and you'll be spared.
And if you don't?
Well, let's just say the Legion's walls are mighty high and not many survive the fall.
Let the Purge begin. 😈

P.S. If you want to secure your status here in the Legion, you can do so by hitting the following link. No, you don't have to buy anything, though my coffers certainly won't complain if you do:
