What a week it has been.
We launched Lore & Order: Chronicles of Estos, survived the waves of sugar fiends in strange clothing yesterday, and now we cross into a new month.
Seriously, how did we reach November so quickly?
In any case, we are here.
Lady Laura and I are taking the kids to our favourite secluded part in Kent next week before the holiday park closes for the year. In case you’re rubbing your hands in delight over the prospect of a quiet inbox…
THINK AGAIN, BRETHREN.
I’ve said it before, and I will say it again:
There are two things guaranteed in this life…
Death and these daily emails*.
(*excluding my Sunday silent sermons, of course.)
If, like a good whisky, this cadence sprouts one too many hairs on your chest, then you know what you can do. Hint: it’s the first option in the Main Menu below.
For everyone else, it will be business as usual.
“What about The Great Betrayal audiobook, though? I’m dying here for it!”
Fret not, it will come long before rigor mortis sets in.
Whenever a spare 30 minutes presents itself, I will surely continue hammering away at it. All in all, I hope to have it complete and in your sticky mitts in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
What else might I update you on?
Oh yes, Book #6.
It’s coming along, albeit staggered off the back of launching Lore & Order.
I’ve made a quiet pledge with myself that if I am unable to release the sixth instalment before the year’s out, I will share the unedited chapters I have written with you all…
At a price, of course. 😉
(C’mon, I’ve got two heirs to feed and food inflation to contend with.)
For what it’s worth, I have already gone back and rewritten Chapter 1 three times, which is a first for me. I’m likely going to offer these cut scenes as a bonus (along with any other deleted chapters) once the book launches for a limited time.
I don't know about you, but I love director's cuts.
Anyway, enough chitty-chatter.
That about sums up everything here at Watson HQ. Have a splendid weekend!

WAIT!
Was I just about to…
Sign off this email without…
Shamelessly plugging one of my wares?!
UNTHINKABLE. 🫨
Halloween really has scrambled my noggin.
That’s the last time I eat one of Lady Laura’s “Freaky Friday Delights” (pull your mind out of the gutter – it’s a cake.) Well, given I’ve missed my opportunity to smoothly transition into a shameless pitch, I guess I’ll leave you with the very thing I opened this email with:

If you love The Divided Region and want to deepen your knowledge of the world, then Lore & Order: Chronicles of Estos will surely delight you.
With that, I can now go about my day without a tight chest.
See you on Monday, Legionnaire.
