Not satisfied with merely rebranding The Divided Region covers only weeks ago, nor my recent paperback unveiling…
I’ve now given Exiled something of a “Blurb Lift.”
There was nothing wrong with the former synopsis, in case you’re wondering. I just felt it needed a little tightening here and there to be in keeping with TDR’s refreshed look.
In other words: it went under the knife.
Feast your eyes on the new and improved blurb:
EXILED BY HIS BLOOD. HUNTED BY HIS ENEMIES. CHOSEN BY THE SKY GODS.
Darius Rarkez was on the brink of joining the elite Crimson Guard when treachery struck and turned his world on its head. Exiled and disgraced, he carved a new life among thieves in a foreign land, trading his sword for the art of stealing.
For ten bitter years, he haunted the shadows, surviving however he could. Yet his heart remained fixed on one goal: fleeing Estos forever.
But freedom demands gold. And lots of it. So when the guild’s most daring raid promises to deliver it, Darius seeks guidance from a reclusive seer whose visions have scarcely been wrong.
What he receives instead is a grave prophecy.
One that speaks of an old enemy and a great darkness stirring in the basin of Estos. To ignore it would condemn hundreds of thousands of lives. To bear its weight would require helping two rival kingdoms that despise him.
The gods have spoken. The hourglass has been turned. A second great war beckons.
Will Darius heed this prophecy, or will bitterness prevail?
I suspect if you’re a long-time reader of the series, you’re thinking, “Cute. When’s Book #6 coming out?”
To which I’d say, “Before the year is out, dear Patron.”
But if you’re yet to venture into Estos?
And you love fast-paced, gritty epics that don’t come with the bloat of 1,000-page tomes?
I’d wager some coin that your fingers weren’t the only things to twitch when you read this synopsis. Perhaps your Kindle did, too. In any case, you can satisfy your excitement by grabbing a copy of Exiled here:
