My ‘wierd’ remedy to a scorching heatwave

As of writing this email, it is currently 34 degrees Celsius here in London.

(93 degrees Fahrenheit for my North American Legionnaires.)

Sweaty Betty doesn’t even come close to what I’m feeling right now, and yet, for some strange, deceptive reason, the UK still doesn’t build homes with A/C units pre-installed.

Yes, we get a lot of rain and grey clouds in this part of the world, but when summer comes knocking…

My God, does it kick the door down and unleash an insufferable heat. 🥵

All of this to say:

My mind, body, and very insides are cooked beyond recognition, so this email is going to be shorter than a Scotsman’s kilt on a night out.

Now, the challenge becomes how in Middle-earth I am going to tie this into a shameless sales pitch that my loyal band of Legionnaires have come to not only expect… but love.

Hmm. 🤔

Ah, yes!

Here’s one…

(*ahem, clears throat*)

In times of blistering heat when air-conditioning units are scarce and ice cubes dwindle, one way to drop my internal body temperature isn’t through lukewarm showers or baths…

BUT A GOOD SUPERNATURAL THRILLER.

The type that makes you want to leave the light on at night, but most importantly…

The type that “chills” you to the core.

That’s the kind of horror I enjoy; it’s also the horror I used to write. Not the slasher, gory tales that have you cradling a bucket waiting for the next scene to flip your stomach.

No, the kind I write about in The Curse of Abbey Ruins bundle, which you can only grab at my Storehouse — not Amazon or other book retailers — right about… here:

That, my loyal disciple, is my remedy to a scorching heatwave. 😎
