There’s nothing I love more on a cold, wet, and miserable day than to draw the curtains and watch a movie.
And I don’t discriminate either (okay, maybe I do. No romance/chick flicks).
While binge-watching a series on Netflix can satisfy this itch, nothing — and I mean nothing — hits the spot quite like a 2-3-hour film that grabs me by my chest hair.
That’s exactly what I’ll be serving you today.
While the list below is by no means a complete one (there are likely dozens more movies that could have made the cut had I possessed the memory bank of someone who routinely gets 8 hours of sleep), I suspect there are a few you will have also enjoyed.
How can I be so sure?
Well, aside from being a writer during the day and a mind reader at night, you wouldn’t be reading this email (or my books) if we didn’t share some common interests.
And if today is the day a golden goose craps out an egg that happens to be you, then… well…
How the hell did you end up here in the Legion?
In fact, don’t answer that.
I’d rather just reveal the 11 movies I’d watch again and again instead, starting with (in no particular order):

- Catch Me If You Can

No, it’s NOT the second coming of LOTR, but it does borrow some tropes from the trilogy (like an expansive open world, a dark lord, wizards, and creatures both of this world and the netherworld).
Better yet, the main character, Darius, isn’t a hapless, soft-speaking hobbit.
