After yesterday’s much-awaited title drop of Book #5 of The Divided Region, I was braced for questions.
And they came!
The most common one to slither into my inbox was, invariably, the release date.
Seasoned Legionnaires will remember I originally set the ballpark date of April/May, and I am pleased to announce we are still on track to meet that, providing no unexpected hurdles crop up between now and next month.
As for a specific date, I will not be disclosing one.
Partly because my life is quite chaotic at the moment as I gear up for Liam’s 1st birthday and my mother’s 60th (which fall on the same day!), upgrade my audiobooks to a superior digital voice, write the blurb for The Great Betrayal, review its edits, prep its cover, write these daily emails, and a slew of other tasks that allude me right now.
In other words…
I’VE GOT AN ELEPHANT TO EAT AND ONLY A SPOON TO EAT IT WITH.😅
Just because I can thrive in chaos doesn’t mean I want to.
It can be a mentally, spiritually, and physically taxing endeavour, and it wouldn’t be fair to long-time readers to set a date that:
- I potentially miss
- I die in the process of achieving
But May is looking like the date this puppy will be published, and I for one am excited to get it into your hands.
And if you’re yet to step into The Divided Region, don’t sweat it, my faithful.
You’ve still got time to get up to speed with the story because, unlike 98% of fantasy novels in the marketplace, each instalment can be read in 1-2 sittings. But don’t let their size fool you.
While the pace is almost neck-breaking, I do not skimp on world-building, lore, intriguing characters, and all the other things we love in fantasy.
