I hope for the authors' sake that they are using a false name and VPN so that the boys in blue don’t show up at their basement unannounced. However, as I much prefer stories that elicit chills over knots in my stomach, I’ll keep to those.

Now, is this the creepiest two-sentence horror I’ve ever read?
No.
But did it cause me to second-guess my shadow a couple of times last night?
You betcha.
Obviously, horror isn’t everyone’s mug of dwarven ale, however, it was once mine. For the years preceding The Divided Region, I almost exclusively wrote supernatural thrillers. Some stories were set in a house (Leave IT Alone), others in a desolate woodland (The Curse of Abbey Ruins), while another was set in a Northern English cottage (Uninvited Guest).
While I unpublished Leave IT Alone due to the writing not being up to scratch, there’s a chance I might publish Uninvited Guest later this year, which has yet to grace a Kindle.
