A brutal headache won’t stop me from writing this

It pains me to say this:

I might be hungover.

You see, Lady Laura and I had the evening free of parental duties to celebrate my birthday and without blinking, I took full advantage of it.

Copious amounts of brisket and beer later, I’m now hanging like a fruit bat.

Admittedly, it’s not as bad as the time I fell asleep hugging a toilet or the night of my first uni party, which almost resulted in having my stomach pumped, but still not fantastic.

That said, it's going to take more than a throbbing headache to stop me from my daily correspondence with the Legion. Oh yes. Not even the effects of excess alcohol consumption will stop me from briefing my loyal Legionnaires.

However, there will be a slight change to #AskWatson today:

Instead of answering several questions, l’ll only be answering one lucky person's query.

I’m many things, Legionnaire, but a litterer of drunken typos?

Well, we’ll have to wait and see.

Let’s go before my migraine incapacitates me:

==========

I’m almost finished with Forbidden Forest, and I have to say… I’m getting a little nervous. I love Jangar (wasn’t my favorite in Exiled, but he’s really grown on me). Please, tell me you’re not planning to kill him off. I don’t think my heart can take it lol!

==========

Ah, Jangar.

The one-eyed brute who has won more hearts than Prince Harry. If it’s any consolation to the Legionnaire who asked this question (not really a question, but hey ho — I’m too hungover to argue semantics), I also like Jangar.

He’s grown on me like a stubborn boil, as he has many other readers evidently.

That doesn’t mean he’s safe from the writer’s axe, though.

Readers of The Divided Region will know I’m not shy about killing people off, so my reply to this email is simply:

You’ll have to wait and see.

In Estos, anything can happen, and that includes waving bye-bye to much-loved characters – Exiled proved that.

Speaking of Exiled…

If you’re not ready to slap $20 down for Books 1-4 of The Divided Region, but you are still keen to get your feet wet in the series, you can grab Book #1 by itself.

You’ll pay a little more per instalment, but it will provide better insight into the plot and characters than the prequel alone.

Interested?
